Senior Analyst (Technical/Operational Profile), Odfjell Terminals

The Senior Analyst position at our Bergen headquarters offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to work alongside executives and industry experts at the intersection of operations, strategy, finance, and investment in the terminal infrastructure industry.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support team members with a strong focus on operational performance and asset management across assets and disciplines
  • Take ownership of a broad array of analytical and administrative tasks relating to the current business of Odfjell Terminals, especially related to terminal operations and performance improvement
  • Help shape and execute the future strategy of Odfjell Terminals
  • Leverage operational insights and asset performance data to inform strategic direction and investment decisions
  • Work closely with local technical and operational teams to assess and drive improvements in asset performance, reliability, and safety across Odfjell’s terminal network
  • Analyze operational performance, identify potential areas for improvement in efficiency and safety, and explore opportunities for business growth and investments
  • Responsible for the preparation of board papers, presentations, and general reporting together with Asset/Discipline leads
  • Be a key member of the Odfjell Terminals organization and serve as support for Asset and Disciplines leads
  • Be a resource for local management teams in the development and execution of strategic initiatives

 

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent in relevant fields such as engineering, or a similar technical disciplines, finance or economics  
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience

 

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience from similar/equivalent positions
  • Experience from technical or operational roles in shipping or terminal operations is considered a plus
  • Experienced in M&A, operational performance improvements, strategy work, and in liaising with executive management, subsidiaries, and JV partners
  • Analytical and communication skills
  • Experienced in organizing, analyzing and presenting data
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
