Cloud & AI Architect

As part of our digital transformation journey, we are building a modern cloud and data platform to support smarter operations, real-time insights, and seamless integration across our global business.
We are now looking for a Cloud & AI Architect to join our DevOps team and help shape the future of our cloud and data infrastructure using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
As Cloud & AI Architect in Odfjell SE, you will be responsible for designing and managing an organization's cloud computing and AI strategy. This role blends technical expertise with strategic planning and often involves collaboration across IT, security, and business teams.
The position is based at our headquarters in Bergen (Minde).

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Design and integrate data-driven solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including deep knowledge to medallion architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital solutions aligned with business needs
  • Re-define DevOps practices with AI-first strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership and ensure adherence to best practices in cloud architecture and engineering.
  • Optimize cloud systems for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost.
    Driving design, building, and deploying AI solutions in cloud environments. This includes innovative initiatives like agentic AI.
  • Envisioning and operationalizing AI Agents, including how to integrate AI models into existing software and business processes.
  • Help make AI technologies more accessible and scalable within the organization, according to strategy.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, including 3+ years in cloud architecture roles
  • Proven leadership in managing and motivating senior technology professionals.
  • Good understanding of cloud security, cloud regulations and various cloud operating models
  • Good knowledge of AI technologies and business adoption.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance technology, business, and financial considerations
  • Proven experience with modern cloud architecture Strong expertise in API design, system integrations, and data pipelines using Azure services
  • Experience with cloud migration and transition architecture design
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
