Technical Superintendent Trainee

Flumar Ship Management Department manages and supervises 3 ships and is fully integrated with fleet management, risk management, crewing and technology support. As a Technical Superintendent Trainee with our team, you will be exposed to different roles, tasks, and projects. We seek candidates who have a positive attitude, are willing to learn and are ready to take on challenges and contribute. To succeed in doing so, collaboration within and outside your department is essential. 

TASKS:

As a Technical Superintendent Trainee, you will receive training in the various tasks such as:

• Being the main contact between ships and management onshore and provide technical support to the ships. Supervision and monitoring of ships performance including:
• Vessel safety and readiness
• Compliance of internal procedures, external regulations, and customer demands
• Ensure environmental and quality standards are met
• Project Management for dry dockings
• Responsible for budget and cost control

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Mechanical, Naval or Electrical Engineering or Maritime Engineer with sea time experience
• Up to two years of relevant fulltime work experience
• Fluent in English and good communication skills
• Alignment with safety commitment and company values

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Interest in working with different cultures and teams
• Proficiency in Portuguese and/or Spanish language
• Onboard experience from Chemical tankers
• Knowledge of OCIMF SIRE 2.0 and CDI inspection regimes.
• IT skills, use of power BI, or similar tools used to manage data
