Technical Superintendent

Ship Management manages and supervises about 50 ships and is fully integrated with fleet management, HSSEQ, crewing and technology support. 

We are strengthening the department and are looking for a skilled and dedicated Technical Superintendent. Senior Technical Superintendents are also encouraged to apply.

TASKS:

  • Main contact between the ships and onshore management, providing technical support and guidance
  • Monitor vessel performance and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Plan and manage dry dockings and technical projects, including follow-up of shipyard activities to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Take ownership of assigned vessels, including technical condition, performance and cost control
  • Ensure implementation of procedures, handling of events, and follow-up of customer vetting status

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Marine engineer, Naval architect or other technical/ maritime education
  • Technical and/or maritime experience
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own vessels
  • Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations and industry standards
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English, oral and written


ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience within ship management
  • Experience with dry docking, shipyard follow-up or technical project execution is an advantage.
  • Onboard experience from Chemical tankers
